En A&R (Artists & Repertoire) ansvarar för att hitta nya talanger och jobba kreativt med dem och artistens management, så att artisten når sin fulla potential både musikaliskt och artistiskt. Ett brett kontaktnät av förläggare, producenter och regissörer är viktigt för en A&R i det dagliga jobbet.
Hur man blir signad?
YouTube är annars en kanal där många lägger upp sina verk i hopp om att bli upptäckta och här igenom så blir också artister funna och signade. Försök att sträcka ut så många händer som det bara är möjligt. Undersök möjliga skivbolag som tar hand om stilar likt din.
Hur blir man känd som sångare?
Bra grundutbildning finns på det Estetiska programmet. På eftergymnasial nivå finns många högskolor som har utbildningar för sångare, musiker, dansare mm. Lämplig utbildning för en blivande artist kan också finnas inom KKU (Konst- och kulturutbildningar). Passande utbildningar kan även finnas inom yrkeshögskolan.
